Order of the Sinking Star Demo Walkthrough: Branches & Route Order

The quick answer

Navigate the June demo’s Heroes, Mirror Isles, and Promise branches, including the expanded Bard and Druid content.

Historical June demo; release layouts and region names can differ.

Choose the June demo phase

The first June demo contained 75 puzzles. The June 19 expansion raised that to more than 100, adding Bard, Druid, and world combinations. Expanded-demo completion reports commonly show 105 solves.

Begin at Crossroads and identify the branch that matches your current mechanics. You can return to a different branch when stuck.

Branch What to look for Next check
North: Heroes Character abilities and the Hearty Heroes route Return for the Druid content in the expanded demo
East: Mirror Isles Magical mirrors, reflection paths, and island landings Revisit the north of Mirror Isles after expanding the demo
West: The Promise The demo’s beam and tool puzzles Keep its name separate from the release’s Vault of the Beamcasters
Expanded branches Bard, Druid, more Mirror Isles, North East Compare your solve count with the expanded-demo map

A practical route through the branches

  1. Explore north to learn the Hero abilities and basic object interactions.
  2. Take the east branch to learn how Activate and reflected landing positions work.
  3. Try the west branch for beam and tool interactions.
  4. In the expanded demo, revisit north and east for the additional characters and rooms, then explore North East.

This is a way to organize your exploration, rather than a requirement to clear every puzzle in this order.

Find a missing solve

At 85 solves in the expanded demo, revisit the north of Mirror Isles. At 104, check the single-puzzle screens (-1,0) and (2,1) and the large-star puzzle near the dragon in the north. Use the demo coordinate checklist to compare the remaining screens.

After finishing a puzzle, take a few steps before checking the campaign’s solve count again. Use the puzzle count guide to distinguish the original and expanded demos.
