Choose a world at Crossroads
Order of the Sinking Star lets you explore its worlds at your own pace. You can leave a difficult puzzle, try another branch, and return with a fresh idea.
| Direction | World | What to learn |
|---|---|---|
| North | Heroes | Different characters and how their abilities interact |
| East | The Mirror Isles | Reflections, swapping positions, and copies |
| South | Skipping Stones | Stones, water, lily pads, and timing |
| West | Vault of the Beamcasters | Beams, gems, and tools |
The west world was called The Promise in the June demo. Use the release name when following a release guide.
When a puzzle stops making sense
- Identify the characters, movable objects, obstacles, and exits.
- Work backward from an exit or needed landing point, then describe one small goal: move a mirror to a particular row, make one stepping stone, or keep one button pressed.
- Try changing one thing at a time. Use Undo to compare the result with your previous position.
- If an experiment teaches you nothing new, try another puzzle or take a break.
An unsuccessful move does not necessarily reveal a hidden rule. Check the object type, the character you selected, and the starting layout before changing your explanation of the puzzle.
Pick the help you need
Use the mechanics reference for a rule, the world map guide for navigation, or the progression walkthrough for ending requirements. For exact inputs, open Skipping Stones or The Mirror Isles.
If Reset leaves an object in a different position from the guide, follow the reset troubleshooting steps before continuing.
